Renate Chancellor, (PhD Graduate School of Education and Information Studies, (UCLA), is Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Access, Ethics, and Belonging. She is recipient of the 2014 Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) Excellence in Teaching Award and the 2012 ALISE Leadership Award. She is an affiliated faculty member with the Lender Center for Social Justice.
For more than two decades, Renate Chancellor has been a thought leader on equity and social justice.She is Associate Professor and affiliated faculty at the Lender Center for Social Justice. She has published widely in the areas of critical cultural information studies, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), and social justice in informational contexts. Dr. Chancellor serves on the editorial boards of Library Quarterly and Education for Information. She also serves on the American Library Association’s Publishing Committee. Dr. Chancellor has consulted on projects with numerous organizations that include: the Library of Congress, Gensler Architectural Firm, ProQuest, and the State Department.
