Neil D. Grimes (
[email protected]) is the Education & Curriculum Materials Librarian at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey and is a current doctoral student in the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. His undergraduate degree was from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, his first graduate degree was in Library Science from Clarion University (now called PennWest University) in Clarion, Pennsylvania, and his second graduate degree was in Education with a focus on Instructional Technology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Neil has 13 years’ experience working in public education in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as a teacher librarian, elementary STEM teacher, and middle school and high school social studies teacher. For the last 6 years, he has worked as an academic librarian.His research interests include: libraries, librarianship, mental health, wellness, and libraries, literacy and education, male mentorship and literacy, equity and access, professional development and learning, micro-credentials and librarianship, educational technology, artificial intelligence and libraries, social media and peer reading culture, and reading motivation and reading engagement.
