About me
Layla Coleman is a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Her research focuses on the social media use, creative digital engagements, and affective practices of youth, investigating how these pieces inform young people’s socially situated and everyday literacies. Layla teaches undergraduate and graduate level LIS coursework exploring information ethics and pedagogical practices. A former K-12 educator, Layla has previously worked as secondary school teacher, reading/literacy coordinator, and college access coordinator.
