This study examines through the lens of distributed leadership the school librarian’s role as a leader in relation to their  roles as instructor, collaborator, information specialist, and program director.  Using a sequential explanatory mixed methods approach contributes to existing research by deepening the understanding of how school librarians' daily routines and their interactions and activities with administrators and other school leaders shape instruction and student learning experiences.
