Doctoral Poster: Opioid use disorder among patrons of public libraries: Needle exposure, stigma, and overdose risk

This study aimed to explore the role of public libraries in meeting the harm reduction needs of library patrons, as well as the relationship between patrons’ exposure to injection equipment in their environment and stigma. We found that when a patron reports having seen needles in public spaces within the past 30 days, they had higher overdose risk and higher levels of stigma.
