This study examines the digital information practices of Black queer and trans men in online environments, focusing on how visibility, identity, and sociotechnical systems shape engagement. The research draws on semi-structured interviews and Critical Technocultural Discourse Analysis (CTDA) to explore how participants navigate platformed spaces, manage visibility, and participate in knowledge production. Findings position visibility as both an affordance and a constraint, shaping how participants engage digital platforms while building alternative networks of support and information exchange. This work contributes to information science by extending understandings of information practices, visibility, and knowledge production within platformed sociotechnical systems.
