Responsible AI guidelines and frameworks are becoming increasingly important. Yet, most of these are derived by scholarly experts and administrative authorities. Yet, generative AI use and adoption are often driven by individual values, beliefs and intentions. Hence, it is essential to center the public voice to explore how the public construes the critical pillars of responsibility around generative AI adoption and deployment. Through an exploratory analysis of an online forum, we present an interconnected landscape of technological, societal, economic, organizational and educational needs and frames that drive the collective thought clouds around this issue. In the long term, such insights can inform generative AI pedagogy, particularly broadening how critical thinking is conceptualized incorporating multiple viewpoints, perspectives, values and standpoints.
