The goal of IL is to help students find credible information so that they can produce new knowledge. Evaluating sources has become more difficult, while searching and writing are easier. The tools for literature synthesis may cause students to skip an important part of the learning process. AI tools are useful, but they cannot replace human understanding and judgment.
