Access to information for people experiencing incarceration is a major barrier to both academic and reentry success. Many people providing library services in carceral environments are currently incarcerated themselves and often do not have training on basic library service skills, including the reference interview. While the poster is centered on the reference interview training specifically, the project identifies a need for additional research on the following topics: (1) library services in carceral facilities, (2) library services provided by library workers experiencing incarceration, and (3) equipping and training incarcerated library workers on the provision of library and information services.
