WIP Poster: MOGAI/LIOM Archive Blogs on Tumblr as Intraplatform Community Archives

On Tumblr, there is a community of self-appointed archive blogs that collect posts from other blogs to make them more findable. This study examines Tumblr blogs that present themselves as archives of MOGAI (Marginalized Orientations, Genders, And Intersex) and LIOM (Labels, Identities, Orientations, and Other Minorities) identity labels and pride flags. Preliminary data analysis suggests that intraplatform MOGAI/LIOM archiving on Tumblr tends to align with contemporary archival philosophies and practices while also being fundamentally shaped by the sociotechnical information landscape of Tumblr.
