Diary methods are valuable yet underused in library and information science, particularly for studying vulnerable populations. This study examines how diary methods have been applied in LGBTQ information behavior research and analyzes their conceptual framing, methodological implementation, and evaluation. A systematic search of three databases identified relevant studies, which were analyzed using a literature-informed codebook. Findings highlight patterns in the use of diary methods, as well as their benefits, challenges, and untapped potential for capturing temporally situated and nuanced information practices among LGBTQ populations.
