This study analyzes K–12 school library collection development policies across multiple U.S. regions to examine how diversity is articulated and how regional and socio-political factors shape these policies. Findings will identify patterns, reveal regional differences, and provide guidance for crafting policy language that supports equitable collections while navigating external pressures, informing both practitioners and LIS preparation programs.
