About me
Emily graduated with her MLIS from Kent State University in 2001. She moved to the metro-Boston area to work as a children's librarian in a public library where she could use her Portuguese-language skills. She then became a young adult librarian before moving and making a change from public libraries to school libraries. She began her doctoral program in 2020 at Simmons University, and is a full-time middle school librarian as well as an adjunct professor for Simmons.
